300 Fr

Over a century of footage of Aotearoa’s history providing past images of both Māori and non-Māori, ‘Kiwis’. With many diverse subjects: the first filmed conflict between the Māori and the British Royal Regiment, fishing, Māori soldiers, the haka, everyday Māori life in 1930, dances, sheep shearing… So, it is about remembering both cultures through archives collected and preserved by the Nga Taonga who share them so that the stories are not lost.
